Ey!

Yesterday me and Kathy went to take a look on the Royal Palace. We never went inside cause the line to get in was sooo long, and it was such a nice weather so we decided to just sit down on a bench for an hour or so and work on our tan (which resulted in a not very nice "bonnabranna" for me :)

This is my two lovely roomies in my favorite bar on our street ( I call it "the blue bar"), Kathy ofc, and a french girl called Gaella, she arrived here last sunday.

Kathy and Matt playing funny while waiting on the metro at Retiro, haha

¡Hola!

Im bad at updating my blog, i know. Just havnt felt like sitting by the computor since its actually reaaally nice weather here in Madrid this week. Last night at around 21 we had 26 degrees. Awsome! I got company in both my apartment and in my class now. Kathy, shes 22 and from germany. I got some pics im gonna post em later, didnt bring my cabel to the camera. We are 3 in my class, me, Kathy and Matthew, hes 42 and from London. Its much nicer to have them in our class. We usually meet up some time before school and have lunch, or sit in the park. Yesterday me and Kathy was at a bar with a lot of other students and some teachers. It was free drinks from 21-24. So we had a looot of beer and sangrias! While we actually tried, (i said tried) to have conversations in  spanish ^^ I also talked some to a swedish girl. It was really strange to talk swedish. I dont even wanna think about how weird its gonna be to use my swedish after 3,5 onth here. And im supposed to write articles 1,5 day after i get back home :)

Today its friday and after school me, Kathy and maybe another german student who we met yday, are gonna go eat tapas! And tomorrow we are going out to see some more of Madrids nightlife. Now im a lil stressed so I gotta go!

¡Hasta luego! /kiss!

Evening!

So I got through the first week and yeah, im still alive ^^ School has been cool. Ive been alone for the whole week but next week theres at least one more person joining in my class I think. The lessons are pretty hard... the teachers are only using spanish, which is good ofc, but difficult. Ive been learning soo much tho. Mosly just words and grammar. Weekdays, numbers. Stuff like that. And every day I watch tv so I just listen a lot to the language. Tonight, at the supermarket, this lady asked me stuff, The only word I got was coche, which is car. But I understood what she meant, the frustrating thing is that I cant talk back to her. I cant use like sentences... I manage to order my own coffee with milk now tho :) A typical day here for me has been to just wake up. And around 10.15 I leave and take the Metro to Retiro, where my school is. That takes me like 20 mins from door to door so its pretty nice. Then I got a class for 1,5 hour. Then a paus of 30 mins. I usually go to the same place, have my coffee, read some or check the notes from the first lesson. Then I go back for the next one. Which also lasts for 1,5 hour. This week ive been done with school at 14.30. Ive been heading straight home cause the weather has been bad, raining actually, or just been cold and windy. Kinda similar to the weather in sweden actually. Sucks. But I guess it gets better. Lets just hope so, else im screwed, I dont have clothes for this kinda weather. Yes mom, I blame u! haha :) Naaah, but u know I could have used more socks, a pair of gloves, and scarfs, more scarfs! But its ok :) Josema told me, this weather is just weird and that it should be sunny and stuff, so im expecting sun soon. I havnt rly done that much this week. Been sleeping a lot... When i get home from school I usually just make some food, have some coffee, and then i watch tv in my weird lil livingroom. Which lacks a sofa, theres only 3 chairs.. sux. Actually the apartment... I dont like it, dont know if im gonna stay or not. I guess im gonna get some company there tho, tomorrow probably (sunday). So I decided to wait and see. Think I need to decide wether to stay or not in like a week or so. Now were gonna have some food, im watching The Incredibles on tv and the rest of the evening im just gonna slack. Niiiiiiice!.

Hope everyone of u at home are good! Miss ya all. /hugs!!

First days in Madrid

Hi! (all u swedes gotta live with that im writing in english now  btw ^^)

So now im sitting in school. I got my first class today. Alone... They didnt have anyone else thats completely new in spanish so i guess the others come next week. I had to make this test to see my spanish skillz, which are ..nada. So i wrote my name there on top of the paper, and...thats it. No..sorry, the date as well :D Yeah, this is actually pretty scary. Im constantly nervous. Anyway. I got here at 11.30 on the sunday. The driver picked me up at the airport and drove me straight to my apartment where this lil lady met me. She talked a looooooot, only in spanish so i didnt understand much. But it went fine, she was nice. She kept saying "importante" and I was thinking.. for gods sake dont tell me lots of important stuff in spanish, but ey :)

The apartment itself is ok. Its strange, what can I say. Its like one big corridor with 3 rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. And the living room.."living room" has 3 chairs... anbd a tv..no.. a "tv" with like 5 channels. Awsome. Nah, but its ok. Just that im still alone there, Probably for a week. Bit boring but what can I do. So after the lil lady left I met up Josema, my spanish friend here. He showed me some places in Madrid. And we had coffee in a couple of places. And then wine. Some more wine. And then drinks. Lets just say I got home very late that night. A bit crazy. But fun! Really. Im glad hes here to help cause I would have been waaaaaaaaay more lost if he wouldnt. :D

So yesterday, I was a zombie. But im alive and it was worth it.

My schedule is pretty cool btw. I start at 11 to 12.30, and then 13 to 14.30, every day, monday to friday. The weather has been fine, now its raining a little tho. Too bad cause im at school, its 9.18, and i got 2 hours before I start. I wanted to check a bit of the Retiro park out so after im done writing, I guess I go there. Feel I could need a coffee as well. Thing is, its not very many speaking english here so im even a bit bothered by buying coffee. But I do it anyway ofc. All in all Im good, apartment is ok, school seems nice, the city (well what ive seen so far) is big and loud, but very beautiful. My guess is that its gonna be a bit tough in the beginning now and after this week its gonna feel a bit "safer" so to speak. So thats my summury of my first days. Now I hope it stoped raining cause im gonna go out and try not to get lost.

/kiss

Helu.

So, here i am, less than a week from Madrid. Everything went fine with the moving. But it still feels like im only home visiting my family going back in a few days... Anyway. I promised to post some stuff here about how to get a hold on me while im in Spain. I might as well do that now or i´ll forget it probably.
